Payroll processing for Wenatchee businesses

Your people paid correctly and on time, with the filings handled, so payroll stops being the thing you do at 10pm.

Who this is for

Business owners who run payroll themselves and feel it. You have a few employees or a seasonal crew that grows and shrinks. You have stayed up late to make sure a deposit cleared, or you have opened a notice that said a filing was late and you were not sure which one.

It also fits owners who are about to hire their first employee and want it set up right from the first paycheck, instead of fixing it a year from now.

What is included

  • Payroll setup. Employees, pay rates, pay schedules, deductions and direct deposit set up and checked before the first run.
  • Every pay run. Hours in, paychecks out, with a pay register you can review before anyone gets paid.
  • Payroll filings. Federal payroll returns and deposits, plus the Washington reports that come with having employees here.
  • Year end forms. W-2s for employees and the matching filings, ready before the deadline instead of on it.
  • New hire and exit paperwork. A simple checklist so a new hire or a last paycheck does not turn into a scramble.

Washington adds its own layer

Federal payroll is only part of it. A Washington employer also reports to the state for unemployment insurance, workers compensation, Paid Family and Medical Leave and WA Cares. Each one has its own account, its own rate and its own schedule. Missing one rarely hurts the first month. It hurts when the notices stack up a year later with penalties attached. We keep all of it on one calendar so nothing falls through.

What we need from you

Your federal and state employer account numbers, or help getting them if you are new. Employee details through a secure form, never by email. Hours or pay changes by the cutoff we agree on for each pay period. And a quick message when someone is hired, leaves, or gets a raise.

What a normal pay period looks like

A few days before payday, you send hours or confirm that nothing changed. We run the numbers and send you a register to look over: who is getting paid, how much, and what is being withheld. You approve it. Paychecks and direct deposits go out on time, the tax deposits are made, and the records land in your books automatically so the payroll expense matches the bank. If someone's hours look off or a deduction changed, we flag it before payday, not after. The whole thing usually takes you less time than making a cup of coffee.

At the end of each quarter, the federal and state reports are filed from the same records, and you get a short note confirming what went in.

What it costs to start

Payroll pricing is set by how many people you pay and how often. Pay schedules that change with the season are fine, we just plan for them. We quote it on the free call so you know the monthly number before anything moves. No per question charges for routine payroll help.

Questions about payroll

Can you take over payroll partway through the year?

Yes. We bring over the year to date figures from your current system so the year end W-2s are right. Switching at the start of a quarter is cleanest, but it can be done any time.

I have seasonal workers. Does that change anything?

It changes the planning, not the service. We set up the pay schedule and the state accounts so a crew that grows in summer and shrinks in winter is handled without starting over each season.

Who do employees contact with a pay question?

You decide. Most owners prefer questions come through them, and we answer you directly. Either way, a pay stub problem gets looked at before the next pay run.
